States Assembly
The present composition of the States, is the Bailiff, the Lieutenant-Governor, 12 Senators, 12 Connétables, 29 Deputies, the Dean of Jersey, the Attorney General and the Solicitor General. The officers of the States are the Greffier of the States, who is clerk of the States, the Deputy Greffier of the States, who is the clerk-assistant of the States, and the Viscount, who is the executive officer of the States. The States Assembly exhibits all the usual characteristics of a parliament - legislature and debating chamber - while at the same time taking executive decisions on a wide range of issues.
