International consultant leads Guernsey seminars
A leading international management consultant was in the island earlier this month for a series of seminars at the GTA University Centre.
Jean Pousson, based in Manchester, has over 20 years experience of lecturing and consulting on issues of strategic planning and implementation, risk and finance to an international client base which includes Esso and the British Medical Journal.
Mr Pousson was invited to Guernsey to conduct a seminar entitled; ‘Understanding finance for senior managers’ run by the GTA University Centre in conjunction with the Confederation of Guernsey Industry (CGi).
Kate Lenfestey, finance & law programmes supervisor at the GTA University Centre was pleased to welcome Mr Pousson to Guernsey.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn from one of the most prominent figures in the industry,” she said.
“The course addresses the importance of sound finances in every business, not only to ensure success but also in order to stay on the right side of the law. Mr Pousson is renowned for his informative and accessible teaching style which is ideal for tackling subjects such as this.”
Larry Granger, director of the CGi was pleased to see the course so well received.
“Several CGi members commented that it was a great opportunity to learn more about the financial aspects of business. The seminar was informative and its content was very relevant to the many challenges facing businesses today,” he said.
Whilst on-island, Mr Pousson also hosted seminars for the Institute of Directors’ Company Direction certificate and diploma. Launched earlier this year, the programme is aimed at both practising and prospective company directors and focuses on both personal and professional development.
