This week sees of one of the nation’s favourite TV programme’s BBC Gardeners World, brought to life!

Once again VisitGuernsey representatives will be travelling to Birmingham to exhibit at this major event, to promote Guernsey and its sister islands as the perfect holiday destination. Partnering with Guernsey on the stand will be representatives from Alderney, Aurigny Air Services and one of our islands leading tour operators, Premier Holidays.

Tony Dawson, Consumer Marketing Manager for Commerce and Employment says” Birmingham and the East Midlands are great target areas for us and last year‘s show was an over whelming success with over 112,000 visitors passing through the NEC’s doors during the five days. In previous years the stand has always been extremely popular with visitors to the show and we have enjoyed positive interaction with many people visiting the stand. The mix of repeat visitors intending to return and those directly influenced by our presence and now seriously considering booking Guernsey as their next holiday destination for the first time, is encouraging”.

There will be an expert line up of TV garden experts, including Monty Don and Alan Titchmarsh and the position of the magnificent Food Show running alongside the exhibition will feature many favourite BBC TV chefs such as James martin and The Hairy Bikers.

Mr Dawson continues” The celebrities always attract a large crowd which gives us a great platform to work with to promote our islands. We have an eye catching, well branded stand which is supported with great photography, floral displays and promotional material. The stand is also in a great location positioned between the two different aspects of the show, Floral and Food, which also are key themes of our overall product offering. Two of the top show features are also close by, the Master Chef Experience, a live theatre, and the ‘Shop and Drop’ feature”
