Guernsey four announce progress seminar

One year ago the Group of Four (GIBA, CGI, Chamber of Commerce and IoD)
reviewed the progress and direction of the new States Assembly as it approached
its first 100 days.

The panel felt very positive that the Assembly was capable of taking on some of
the tough challenges faced by the community at that time. The review provided
useful and positive feedback for government and industry alike and there was a
genuine desire to see government succeed and perform well.
So, what progress has been made since last year? Has Guernsey tackled those
thorny issues and what impact has the global economic crisis had on our island’s
ability to steer its own course? How much is in our control in these difficult times?
What steps can industry take with Government to help secure our future
prosperity?

A seminar is to be held to consider these matters on Friday 24th April 2009 at 12
noon at the Duke of Richmond Hotel. Panel Members are: Peter Budwin (CGI),
Paul Luxon (Chamber), Paul Meader (GIBA) and Andrew Ozanne (IoD). The panel
will be moderated by Mark Trenchard who will seek active participation from the
audience.

The Seminar is open to all members of these organisations, their guests and any
other interested persons at a cost of £15.00 per person. The ticket price includes a
buffet lunch. Seats may become limited and early booking is advisable.
