Barclays long standing employee promoted to vice president
Barclays Wealth employee Michelle Falla has been promoted within the Guernsey Treasury Team.
Miss Falla, who joined the bank as a new entrant in 1986, has recently been promoted to Vice President, Head of Treasury. She has managed the Guernsey Treasury Team since 2000.
The promotion demonstrates the importance of her role and her outstanding contribution to the business which has continued throughout her career.
Miss Falla is responsible for increasing foreign exchange and fixed deposit business, as well as diversifying the Barclays product range marketed predominantly to the Intermediary, Fund, Captive and Local market segments. She is also involved in the prospecting of new corporate clients and sees this as an integral part of her role. She believes that providing an excellent Treasury service is one of the key requirements to retaining and winning new clients and that understanding the clients needs is core to the business.
‘I am delighted to have been recognised for my contribution to the business and am proud to take on the role of Vice President, Head of Treasury. I work with an excellent team that is driven and highly motivated and I am very much looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead,’ she said.
