Clydesdale Bank becomes fully independent
Wednesday 24 February 2010
Clydesdale Bank International has completed the transition of all processing and administration functions to its Financial Solutions Centre at Clydesdale House, Guernsey.
The previously managed bank marked its commitment to Guernsey last April, when it launched a stand-alone operation on the island.
Despite challenging times Clydesdale Bank International has bucked market trends and displayed capital strength and stability during the downturn. This was most notable in September last year when total deposits reached the £1 billion milestone.
Managing director of Clydesdale Bank International, James Blower is pleased with the smooth transition process.
“It has been an exciting year for the bank and we now have an 18-strong team dedicated to serving our members’ offshore requirements. At Clydesdale we are always thinking beyond banking and our traditional values are reflected in our strong customer services focus,” he said.
“Now that the bank has a truly independent status on the island we can ensure that this ethos is reflected fully throughout every aspect of the service we provide to our members.”
