Tuesday 11 September 2012
The Guernsey Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of its first Chief Executive Officer.
Dave Chilton, who is currently Chief Officer at the States of Guernsey’s Culture and Leisure Department, will take up the part-time post with effect from 1st January 2013.
The appointment comes as the Foundation continues to grow and marks a new phase of development for the charity.
‘This is undoubtedly an exciting time for the Foundation and the opportunity to join such a forward thinking organisation, working within the Voluntary Sector, was one that was impossible to resist,’ said Mr Chilton.
‘I am genuinely excited by the challenges it presents and I look forward to being able to help advance the Foundation’s excellent work.’
Chris Sherwell, Chairman of the Guernsey Community Foundation, is pleased to welcome Mr Chilton to the role.
’We were fortunate to have had strong candidates for the post and are particularly pleased that Dave has decided to join us to assist the Foundation through its next phase of development. His wealth of experience after 24 years of service with the States, and as a Director of the Guernsey Sports Commission and Guernsey Arts Commission, will prove invaluable.’
