Guernsey Housing hold HR drop in morning tomorrow
Housing Control is holding a drop-in morning on Wednesday 20 May.
Staff will be available to offer advice to employers and HR professionals about the administration charges for employment-related Right to Work documents that will come in on 1 June. The session is also open to anyone who wants advice or information about Housing Control more generally.
‘This session follows some positive presentations which we held for employers relating to the provision of long and short-term licences. We hope to be able to answer any questions that people might have had from those sessions or if they could not get along to them in the first place but want to find out more about the new charges’ said Stephen Langford, Housing’s chief officer.
‘On the whole, employers have been very understanding of the need for the States to charge for the administration process. For the most part the “user pays” scenario, which has been rolled out in other States departments, has been accepted by those who make licence applications.’
The drop in morning will be held in Beau Sejour’s Sausmarez Room on Wednesday 20 May between 8am and 12pm. Please use the main entrance and follow the signs towards the Concourse.
Housing has also set up a ‘charging information hotline’ on 717083.
