Event and wedding planners Kat Gillespie and Lorraine Lane of Eventure and The Wedding Fairy have achieved Advanced Diplomas in Professional Wedding Planning and Event Management. The advanced diploma is the highest qualification a wedding planner can achieve and is the first time it has been presented to a Channel Island’s based business.

The Wedding Fairy was launched in 2006 to compliment Eventure’s event planning business. Kat Gillespie, managing director of Eventure Limited comments, “We’ve seen a large increase in demand for wedding planning and co-ordination services over the years and we’ve seen several wedding planners come and go. We wanted to offer our clients the assurance that their big day is in the very safe and capable hands of professionally qualified planners within a successful event and wedding planning business environment. The Advanced Diploma we have achieved through The Wedding Planner School UK has provided us with the opportunity to do just that.”

The Bristol-based Wedding Planner School opened in 1999, with the vision of improving industry standards by training new entrants in the market how to event plan to the best possible level. It maintains its status as the producer of the world’s most elite and successful wedding planners. Amber Hunter, The Wedding Planner School’s most senior tutor and examiner made a special trip to Guernsey especially for Eventure.

Amber comments…. “I was thrilled to conduct the training and assessment with such competent wedding and event planners, they demonstrated how they can design beautiful weddings and effective events and can cope with anything customers demand. I really feel they are now totally armed and ready to handle the biggest weddings and events that Guernsey can accommodate.”

Lorraine explains that fitting the hundreds of little organisational tasks that are required to make a wedding happen are challenging enough for those that have plenty of time on their hands, but for couples who both work or have children the stress of trying to get all the tasks complete can often be enough to take the shine off the big day. By using a professional planner a couple is able to maximise their budget by taking advantage of expert knowledge and advice.

All event and wedding planning products and services can be viewed at the Eventure Showroom located at Dyson House, St Sampsons (directly behind Blind O’Reillys, next door to Euromarque) or contact Lorraine or Kat direct to book a free consultation.
