Fund administrator Ipes has been short listed for a prestigious industry award.
The Private Equity Awards recognise the achievements of individuals and firms working within venture capital and private equity. Ipes beat off competition from a number of other service providers to join a select group of nominees on the shortlist, in the Specialist Professional Services Firm of the Year category.
The awards are backed by the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and the industry publication Real Deals; these are seen as the most prestigious within the Private Equity Industry and are described as the “ultimate accolade for the industry’s dealmakers and advisers”.
Ipes Chief Executive Kevin Brennan says, “We are delighted to have reached the shortlist, particularly as this award is one of the most sought after in the industry. It demonstrates the hard work and achievements of our team and the high standard of client service we provide.”
Ipes was founded in Guernsey in 1998 and is today one of Europe’s leading providers of fund administration services. Following a Management Buyout almost 18 months ago, Ipes has continued to succeed in the private equity market generating a strong pipeline of new business from both new and existing clients.
Kevin Brennan continues, “To gain a shortlist position we went through a submission process which required us to demonstrate to the judging panel how Ipes had exceeded client expectations. Their engagement in the process highlights the strength of our client relationships”.
This year’s panel of judges included Robert Easton from the Carlyle Group, Susan Flynn from Hermes Private Equity and Hugh Lenon from the BVCA. The winner of the Award will be announced in London on 22 April 2010.
