Alderney Harbour
For the first time in history two large cargo boats the ‘Jan V’ and ‘Huelin Endeavour’ berthed at Braye Harbour, Alderney.

The vessels which visited Alderney on Tuesday, 27th July 2010 and again today, 29th July 2010, were both in excess of 80 metres in length.

Alderney Harbour Master, Steve Shaw said "The two cargo vessels of 80 metres each were berthed alongside the commercial quay at Braye Harbour. Prior to the reconstruction of the quay this would have not been possible. Clearly the ability to berth large Cargo ships is of considerable benefit to the harbour and island community".
