Nerine Group has demonstrated its focus on excellence and training with the appointment of a new director in its Hong Kong office.

Guernsey-born and educated Melanie Rihoy completed her training in trust work in Guernsey, she is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds their Diploma in International Trust Management. Miss Rihoy worked for JG Trustees for eight and a half years before the merger with Ansbacher.
She took up her new role with Nerine in Hong Kong recently as the head of client administration, responsible for providing support to specialist estate planning vehicles for high net worth clients in the Asia Pacific region.

“I am proud of my Guernsey training and know that I am well equipped to take on the challenges and considerable opportunities available in the Asia pacific region” Miss Rihoy said.

Miss Rihoy joins a team of five in the Hong Kong office where trust manager Katja Meyer-Paysan recently completed the four STEP International Diploma examinations, passing two with distinctions.

Hong Kong Executive Director Matthew Corbin said: “There are few things that truly distinguish a business nowadays. Nerine’s focus on promoting excellence in our workforce and ensuring training of the highest calibre makes us stand out from the crowd, it’s something that is readily acknowledged by our clients and advisors.

“We congratulate Katja on her exceptional results and welcome Melanie to the Nerine family. Both are already contributing to expanding our Hong Kong operations and will demonstrate why Nerine are leaders in the world of fiduciary services, estate planning and wealth management.”
