The combined value of Social Security's Investment Funds stood at £734m at the end of March 2011, compared with £722m at the end of December 2010. Performance over the quarter was +1.61%.

At the end of March 2010, the Funds stood at £684m. Performance over the last twelve months was +7.22%. The Funds' return over the last 3 years was +7.32% per year.

‘This was a new high point for the Social Security Funds’ says Deputy Mark Dorey, Social Security Minister. 'Market conditions in the current quarter are proving more difficult for our fund managers. But the 3 year rolling average figure is a better indicator of the fund performance and we are pleased with the 7.32% per year that the fund has achieved.'
