ICSA presentation - 'Managing the Employee Life Cycle'

Gail Yeowell, Owner and Managing Director of Isle of Man HR company, SmartHR, will be the next guest speaker for ICSA at their event on 8 November 2011, giving a presentation around ‘Managing the Employee Life Cycle’.
The presentation will provide an overview of managing recruitment and selection activities, inducting a new employee to a company, setting clear objectives and expectations, managing performance and performance problems, employee engagement, development, succession planning, and managing leavers. Gail will also add in some interesting employment tribunal cases.

Gail is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, and a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.
She has almost 20 years’ HR management experience (10 years at senior/board level for multinational companies). Her experience covers HR strategy and planning, policy development and implementation, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits management, performance management, organisational design, redundancy, management development, training and development, employee relations, project management, operations, and mergers and acquisitions.
Gail’s roles have covered various industries:
• Global Head of HR – NY Stock Exchange listed reinsurance company
• Head of HR & Operations - Sales, marketing and medical device manufacturing group
• Group HR Director – Captive insurance group
• HR Manager – Food retail group
• HR Manager – Offshore banking group
Gail is the owner and Managing Director of Smart HR Solutions Limited. SmartHR was set up in 2010 and provides a range of professional, practical and effective HR outsourcing solutions focusing on three distinct areas: Recruitment, HR Consultancy, and Training.
