Minister for Transport, David Anderson MHK advised today of a further delay in the receipt of the anticipated report and recommendations from the Langness Inquiry which closed in October.

The Department had expected receipt of the report by the end of January and it was hoped that he could make a statement at the February sitting of Tynwald. However, the report has not yet been received from the Inspector.

Minister for Transport David Anderson commented: ‘Unfortunately, due to a number of issues, the Langness Inquiry report has been further delayed. The Inspector has experienced some difficulties with particular complex parts of the inquiry and the composition of the report has proved to be much more complicated than anticipated at the outset. I have been assured that the report will be presented before the end of February and I will issue an update when it is received.’
